That Drip Is Costing You. Fix It For Good

A dripping tap wastes up to 20,000 litres a year, and a running toilet even more. Mason fixes them properly — reseated, resealed, new parts where needed — so the drip actually stops.

Sound familiar?

Leaks That Look Small (But Aren't)

  • A tap that drips no matter how hard you turn it off
  • A toilet that keeps running or trickling after the flush
  • You have to jiggle the button or handle to make it stop
  • Water stains in the cupboard under the sink
  • A spinning water meter with everything off
  • Mould or musty smell around the vanity or toilet base

The fix is usually cheap. The damage from ignoring it — swollen cabinets, rotten floors, mould — is not.

Reseated and resealed — not just a new washer slapped in.

Tap & Toilet FAQs

How much water does a dripping tap actually waste?
One drip per second is roughly 20,000 litres a year — real money on your water bill, wasted. A running toilet can waste several times that.
Why does my tap drip again a few months after being “fixed”?
Usually because only the washer was changed while the brass seat underneath is worn. Mason re-cuts the seat so the new washer can actually seal — that's the difference between fixed and patched.
Can you replace old taps with a mixer?
Yes — upgrading old two-handle taps to a quality mixer is common and usually straightforward. You'll get options at different price points, supplied or you can supply your own.
My toilet runs after flushing. Big job?
Usually not — it's typically the outlet valve or inlet valve in the cistern. Both are quick to replace with quality parts. If the cistern is obsolete, you'll get straight advice on a replacement suite.
